HME Reliability Engineer/Specialist

$140,000 base + 405 Site Uplift

Join a privately owned, leading construction & maintenance contractor that is based in WA and completes projects across the country.  They provide technical support to all heavy mobile plant and equipment whilst leading continuous improvement initiatives and are now seeking an experienced HME Reliability Engineer/Specialist to oversee all technical support for their fleet of heavy mobile plant equipment based in Cape Preston. This is a permanent 2:1 opportunity.

As the HME Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the following fleet:
• TEREX/Caterpillar MT6300 dump trucks
• TEREX/Caterpillar MT4400 dump trucks
• TEREX/Caterpillar MT3300 dump trucks
• Caterpillar 6090 Excavators
• TEREX/Caterpillar RH400 Excavators
• TEREX/Caterpillar RH340B Excavator
• TEREX/Caterpillar RH170 Excavator
• SKF15 drill rigs
• PV351 drill rigs

Reporting to the Superintendent, your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Leading the defect elimination process on site to improve HME equipment reliability
• Manage a portfolio of projects that focus on improving safety, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency of our operations
• Understanding and improving the maintenance process from end to end (including input into work management and asset strategies)
• Providing technical support to maintenance execution teams
• Providing reliability and maintenance insight to leadership teams

In order to be successful, you must have the following:
• Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical, Reliability or Mechatronics engineering
• Previous experience in mobile equipment maintenance (desirable) or fixed plant maintenance
• Exposure to condition monitoring (desirable)
• Knowledge of Reliability Engineering principles and processes such as RCAs or Defect Elimination
• Experience leading and managing projects
• A proven track record in mine safety management
• Ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment is essential
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good interpersonal skills to deal with client, management, team members and site personnel
