Duties of an Aston TA/ Mechanical TA:
- Assist Machinists, Welders and Mechanical Fitters
- Assist and learn to work on industrial CNC machines
- Operate machinery including gantry cranes & forklifts to move equipment across the workshop
- Support welders and boilermakers and upskill to become a 2nd class welder
- Spray painting of parts & equipment
- Maintaining health and safety standards of the workshop
- $32 – $38/hr + Super
To be successful you will be required to have:
- 6 months previous experience as a TA
- Must have worked on the tools in a manufacturing plant
- Had exposure to welding, roll forming, machining or gantry cranes
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good mechanical aptitude and wanting to progress
- Forklift licence is essential
Starting Pay Rates:
- $32 – $38/hr + Super | 8- 10 hour days
