Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic – South Walker Creek Mine
Location: 1.5 hours drive from Mackay, Queensland
Overview:Join our team at South Walker Creek Mine, located just 1.5 hours from Mackay. Our fleet predominantly consists of CAT equipment, including trucks (777 to 793), dozers (D10 & D11), loaders (992), graders (16M & 24M), and Hitachi & Liebherr excavators ranging from 400T to 600T. We are seeking experienced mechanics who have worked extensively on large CAT equipment, particularly D11 and 789 models, with expertise in air-conditioning faults, light changeouts, and overheating electrical diagnostics.
Key Requirements:- Australian recognized trade certificate.- Unrestricted rights to work in Australia.- Extensive mine site exposure with experience in breakdown works, troubleshooting, diagnostics, general servicing, and component changeouts across various MEM equipment brands including CAT, Komatsu, Liebherr, and Hitachi.- Current Australian driver’s license (mandatory).- National Police Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
