Junior Project Manager | Commercial Construction | $80K – $120K + Super | Belmont
Duties:
- Project management on 2-3 projects at any one time ranging between $3M-$5M in value
- Run a small construction team – Contracts Administrators across projects
- Responsible for delivering the project, on time, to client expectations, and to budget.
- Co-ordinate, manage, and integrate the work of consultants (architects, engineers, certifiers & Surveyors) suppliers, and contractors as well as liaising with clients, the construction team, and the local council relating to construction work.
- Preparing long-range and short-range construction programs
- Organizing Defect rectifications
- Assist Site Supervisor with planning and execution of projects
- Respond and coordinate RFI’s
- Develop and administer the budget for each project and prepare progress claims and variations
- Prepare purchase orders and subcontractor agreements
- Price negotiation with suppliers
- Checking of contracts against tenders and submissions
- Prepare take-offs
- Reading and interpreting of drawings for tenders Site meetings
Required Experience:
- Previous experience in commercial or residential construction in a similar role
- Alternatively previous experience as a site supervisor looking for the next career step
- Relevant Tertiary and Industry Qualifications or equivalent experience
